Walk For Education Thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2011 Walk for Education 5K on Saturday, November 12 on the campus of Loyola Marymount University in West Los Angeles! The Walk for Education is a vital initiative to promote educational access in communities across California. Now in its 9th year, the Walk has made a significant impact in the number of scholarships awarded on the grassroots level -- and, in a larger sense, to the lives of all who benefit from the education of our youth. While the Walk follows a 5-kilometer course, the impact on students and their families can be felt for much longer. Through its Dollars for Scholars® program, Scholarship America® partners with more than 1,700 communities, corporations, colleges and universities across the country to help students with the desire and drive to continue their education beyond high school.
